PATLITE rotating beacons — SK, SF and SL series

When the alert has to arrive before you do

Rotating and LED beacons for emergency and rescue fleets. High-visibility rotation, 12–24 V DC versions compatible with on-board voltage, optional audible alert and a body built to last in heavy service.

You need a solution for…

At an incident, signaling does two things at once: it clears the way for those arriving and protects those already working on site.

The alert you only see head-on

A beacon with a narrow emitting band disappears for anyone approaching from the side or from above. The warning has to reach every angle of arrival.

The bend where light arrives late

On a bend, in fog or in a manoeuvring area, the line of sight fails before the alert does. Without sound combined with light, the warning arrives after it was already needed.

The unit that cannot take the routine

Rain, dust, washdown and sun all day. An emergency beacon lives exposed, and a burnt-out bulb in the middle of an incident is a failure at the worst moment.

The maintenance that takes the vehicle out of service

A brushed motor and wear parts turn signaling into a recurring maintenance item, on equipment that should always be ready to roll.

Signaling for emergency and rescue fleets

Ambulances, service vehicles, support vehicles and rescue equipment. The rotating beacon is the alert anyone recognises instantly, from a distance and from any angle.

Before buying for use on public roads, talk to our technical team. The documentation we have for these products covers industrial signaling and fixed mounting — it does not address vehicle type approval. For a fleet that runs on public roads, the specification depends on the on-board voltage, the mounting type and the requirements of the authority responsible for your type of vehicle. Describe the case in the form on this page and we will confirm what applies before any order.

Three ways to alert, one standard of ruggedness

The choice starts with the kind of alert the operation needs: continuous rotation, a programmable pattern or simple flashing light.

Visible from every side

The series distribute output across the whole globe, including the top, and not just the central band. Anyone approaching from any angle can see it.

Voltage compatible with vehicles

All three series have 12–24 V DC versions, the same range as the on-board voltage of most fleets, plus 100–240 V AC versions for fixed installation.

Sound when light is not enough

The versions with audible signaling combine both warnings in the same unit, without taking up another mounting point.

Less mechanical maintenance

The SK uses a brushless motor and steel ball bearings. The SF does away with the motor entirely, producing simulated rotation through LED animation.

Built to work wet and dirty

The SL series KT type is rated IP66, and all series use LED — no bulb to burn out in service.

Four colours per series

Red, amber, green and blue, with diameters from Φ80 to Φ150 mm depending on the series and the reading distance required.

The applications documented by the manufacturer

The illustrations below are PATLITE's own and show the scenarios the series documentation covers: fixed installation on buildings, access control and internal mobile equipment.

SK series — rotating

Rotating beacon with an internal motor and high visibility.

  • Brushless motor, which runs cooler than a conventional motor and gives the assembly a longer service life.
  • Steel ball bearings at the base of the reflector: less wear over time and quieter rotation.
  • Dual reflector, which distributes the LED light with bright and even output.
Diameters
Φ80 mm, Φ100 mm and Φ150 mm
Power supply
12–24 V DC or 100–240 V AC
Audible signaling
Versions with and without buzzer
Colours
Red, green, amber and blue

SF series — multi-function

Multi-function LED beacon with several light patterns.

  • Motorless, maintenance-free design, with LED animations that simulate rotation, flashing and pulsing.
  • Thin, rigid multi-Fresnel lens, which collects and diffuses light better than a conventional lens.
  • 22 light patterns, set on the rotary switch and the wiring channels, with no software.
Diameters
Φ80 mm and Φ100 mm
Power supply
12–24 V DC or 100–240 V AC
Mounting / connection
3 screws with cabtire cable, or 2 holes with terminal block, with and without sound
Colours
Red, green, amber and blue

SL series — flashing

Flashing LED beacon for simple and efficient visual alerting.

  • Fresnel lens that distributes uniform light across the whole globe, including the top.
  • A wider light-emitting surface than competing products, with over 5 times the luminous intensity.
  • Installation in five steps: screw in the bracket, wire into the push-in terminal, fit the body and lock it.
Diameters
Φ80 mm, Φ100 mm and Φ150 mm
Power supply
12–24 V DC or 100–240 V AC

Why choose this solution?

Three alert behaviours

Mechanical rotation, a programmable pattern or simple flashing. The same line covers the classic emergency alert and more discreet status signaling.

A diameter for each distance

Φ80 mm, Φ100 mm and Φ150 mm depending on the series. The choice follows the reading distance required by the installation point.

Unambiguous product code

Each configuration matches a Part Number describing series, diameter, voltage, connection or sound and colour. That removes the back-and-forth of emails to confirm what will be delivered.

    Frequently asked questions

Can I install it on an ambulance or a patrol vehicle?

Talk to our technical team before buying. The documentation we have for these products covers industrial signaling and fixed mounting — it does not address vehicle type approval. For a vehicle that runs on public roads, the specification depends on the on-board voltage, the mounting type and the requirements of the authority responsible for your kind of fleet. Describe the case in the form and we will confirm what applies.

Is the voltage compatible with a vehicle's?

All three series have 12–24 V DC versions, which is the on-board voltage range of most fleets. There are also 100–240 V AC versions for fixed installation. The configurator on this page only offers valid combinations for the series chosen.

What is the difference between SK, SF and SL?

The SK is rotating, with an internal motor — the classic beacon, recognised instantly. The SF has no motor and produces 22 LED light patterns, including simulated rotation, flashing and pulsing. The SL is flashing, with the largest light-emitting surface of the three and an IP66 rating on the KT type.

Does it withstand rain and washing?

The SL series in the KT type is rated IP66. For the other series and connection types, confirm the applicable rating with our technical team according to the model chosen.

Does the Part Number determine the product configuration?

Yes. The code identifies the series, the diameter, the voltage, the connection type or whether there is sound, and the colour. That is why the form does not ask for those characteristics again: they are already in the code.

Can I quote different series in the same request?

Yes. Each configuration added becomes its own row in the form, with its Part Number and its quantity field.

Do you help with choosing the product?

Yes. If you are not sure which configuration suits your operation, describe the scenario in the message field and the Shinwa technical team will reply with a recommendation.
